PRISM - myspace.com/prismfortcollins

Combining heavy elements of dance and electronic music with organic rock and funk undertones, PRISM looks to center their vast musical styles onto a singular path of flowing consciousness through their improvised explorations of musical time and space. Multi-layered, atmospheric keyboards and soaring guitar combine with a rhythm section that balances various electronic styles with heavy funk rock elements. The result is a genre-bending amalgamation that is both transcendentally fulfilling and logically captivating to its listeners. Building on the energy of their live shows, PRISM has quickly become the fastest growing funktronica band in the region.

"Prism's open moments find a strong cohesiveness between the members of the band, often echoing each other's melodies and implementing independent variations. Allan's ever present grooves, which have previously anchored bands such as Orooni and Starrunner, drive Sean Cohen's riffs as Mark Palke adds his stylings on the keyboards. I caught their Wakarusa set last year which drew in crowds that were acquainting themselves with the concert field at the Lawrence, Kansas festival. Their lyric free sets exhibit a band with strong progressive songwriting talents. Evocative song ideas tantalize the mind to a transcendental level."

- Mike Kaiz (Kynd Music Magazine) March, 2008

Bill Smith - www.billsmithmusic.com
Taking new steps on the grand musical journey, Bill Smith has found the ability to ferment futuristic songs with classic rock instrumentation. Late in 2006, the songwriting tandem of Ryan Chamlin and Dan "Dank" Koebnick made their way down from the Rocky Mountains to pursue a life of music in the city of Chicago. They brought with them their MC, The Pilgrim.
